He has been a practicing mental health professional and trainer in St. Louis since 1979. He has degrees in psychology and counseling from the University of Missouri and a certificate in Family and Marital Therapy from Washington University. He also received advanced training in addictions treatment from the Edgewood Program of St. Louis and the Hazelden Foundation in Center City, MN. In addition to private practice work, Mike has supervised staff development and training for one of the Midwest’s premier addiction treatment programs, served as executive director for two church-based Christian counseling centers and has also been an adjunct professor and employee assistance consultant.
