Her undergraduate degree in Human Development was earned at Hope International University. She also has an Associate's Degree in Journalism from Fullerton College.
Clinical interests and specialties include teen issues, addiction recovery, grief and loss, and acculturation (helping first generation immigrants and their children adjust to life in America). Christine served two years on high school campuses in Orange County, CA as an on-site counselor. In addition, she did a 16-month rotation at a residential, county-contracted alcohol and drug treatment center conducting psycho-educational groups in Cognitive-Behavioral Theory.
Christine's philosophy in therapy is focused first on improving primary relationships and then on historical issues that hinder personal development. She strives to build trust in the therapeutic relationship to facilitate growth for her clients. Therapy is an opportunity to experience insights and understanding of behavior to initiate change and heal from the past. |
