FLORIDA: Licensed Therapists, Psychologists, Psychiatrists

Do you…

  • Want to grow your private practice?
  • Enjoy counseling in a professional office environment?
  • Desire to work with a team of supportive, like-minded colleagues?
  • Prefer working for yourself, yet never by yourself?
  • Want a competitive fee split?
  • Dream of having someone take care of office administration so you can focus on your clients?

Associates for Human Development, PA (AHD), is a reputable, well-established private practice in sunny Hollywood, Florida (Fort Lauderdale area), providing both Christian and secular counseling for individuals, couples, and families of all ages for over 15 years. We are seeking licensed therapists, psychologists or psychiatrists with a growing client base.

At AHD, we provide a supportive environment in which a group of highly qualified, autonomous private practitioners functions in a complimentary manner. Our experienced, highly skilled administrative staff handles billing, reception, scheduling, and record keeping, allowing you to focus on doing what you love: counseling. We are the ideal solution for those who want to forego the isolation, high costs, and logistical burden of a small practice, or the extensive paperwork and client load of a large agency.

While our outstanding reputation in the community does result in some referrals, candidates must have their own growing client base and a plan to continue building their practice through solo and joint marketing efforts. Practice infrastructure is provided, including scheduling, billing, furnished office, supplies, and more, enabling uninterrupted service to your clients.

To learn more about us, visit Associates for Human Development. To forward your resume/CV, please email as a Word Document to Cheryl Desmidt or fax it to (954) 989-8812, to the attention of Cheryl Desmidt, LMFT. We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Turning Point Counseling is always looking for people who share our passion of providing Tender Help For Tough Problems. TPC's headquarters is in La Mirada, with satellite locations in churches throughout Southern California.

Below are questions and commitments to consider before submitting your resume:

  1. Do you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ ?
  2. Are you actively involved in your local church?
  3. Would your church or churches in your denomination be open to becoming a TPC satellite location, allowing you to counsel from their campus?
  4. Have you completed or nearly completed (within a few months) your graduate counseling degree?
  5. Are you available a minimum of 20 hours a week (three evenings 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm or two evenings and a Saturday)? There is also a required staff meeting on the first Wednesday of every month in Chino, CA at 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. (Interns must attend supervision each Wednesday from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm in Chino, CA). Note: We are not opposed to you developing a daytime caseload. We would like for you to begin your time with TPC with hours of availability where clients seem to be the most eager to come in for counseling, which is usually in the evenings.
  6. One of our goals is that each therapist conducts a minimum of 12 counseling sessions per week. Does this fit into the goals that you have established for yourself?
  7. Are you computer literate? You must have one of three options available for calendar and email updates: daily access to your computer for emails and other communications. A wireless internet connection on your laptop or palm device or a home PC with internet access. Calendar updates and email communication are required on a daily basis.
  8. Are you self motivated and willing to work on building your own caseload?
  9. Are you aware that it may take nine to eighteen months to develop a caseload (depending on how focused you are on the process and the size of caseload you desire to develop)? Do you have the means to meet your financial obligations during this period of growth?
  10. Are you agreeable to do all of your out-patient counseling through TPC?

If you answered “YES” to these questions, we want to hear from you! Please send your resume to info@turningpointcounseling.org.

UTAH

Shepherd's Staff Christian Counseling

The greater Salt Lake area has a relative scarcity of clinical services and high demand. It is also experiencing a growing ethnic diversity. Despite the relative strength of the LDS/Mormon culture (%50 LDS and decreasing) there is a large and growing Christian community and in addition many LDS persons seek our services. This is a beautiful mountain range area (“Greatest Snow on Earth”) with numerous educational, recreational, and cultural opportunities. Current offices located in Sandy (main, suburb of Salt Lake City) and Ogden.

Clinical Practice Opportunities

Shepherd’s Staff Christian Counseling Center is seeking other motivated Christian mental health professionals interested in developing a practice consistent with our vision, mission, and values, and becoming part of our team. We are actively turning away clients for want of professional staff. Our greatest areas of demand are for Psychologists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Psychiatrists, Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, Spanish speaking clinicians, and professionals with expertise in working with children and the elderly.

Our aim is to play to the interests, strengths, and initiative of our staff within a broader vision of providing Christian services and as such to serve as a “floor,” a foundation, support, and guide for our staff’s unique interests and endeavors rather than a “ceiling,” a limit as to what they might do. Current center support services include billing and accounts, weekly multidisciplinary team meetings, continuing education, consultation, payroll, website, retirement benefit options, etc. Please click here for details.
